Sergio Martinez (1937-) Has had an international career in Mexico and the United States, as well as in Europe.
Born in Orizaba, Mexico, he received his art training at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere, in Paris.
His first artwork was commissioned by the Librerie Hachette in Paris in 1973, and he soon branched out to illustrating for book and advertising clients in France, Switzerland, England, Mexico, Central and South America and Spain.
Much of his current artwork is for the BBC and many American publishers, including Signet, New American Library, Disney Press, The Reader´s Digest, and Elfin Light Press.
His work has also been widely exhibited in Europe and Mexico City, with several appearances in Exhibitions of the Society of Illustrators NY.
